This program prepares students of safety and health with knowledge and skills that enable them to bring about change in the way safety and health being perceived at workplace.
This program will also enhance the team leadership qualities that enable students to develop training program and to communicate effectively with superiors on matters pertaining to safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Students completing this program will be able to:

  • Integrates all thought knowledge and skills efficiently and effectively to create safe and healthy working environment.
  • Reduce and minimize near misses and incidents at workplace
  • Conduct Hazard Identification , Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) and improvise the safety of work activities.
  • Develop training programs to enhance safety and health awareness among staff members and employees.
  • Conduct research and development strategies to achieve optimal safety and health performances in line with company goals
  • Assist organization to comply with occupational standards and regulatory requirement.

  • Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH)
  • Executive Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (EDOSH)
  • Bachelor in Occupational Safety and Health (Hons) (BOSH)
  • Master of Science In Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH)

Career Path

  • In Malaysia, we required  20,000 Safety and Health Officer by year 2020.
  • As at 30/09/2010, we only have 2391 Safety and Health Officer in all industries.
  • Total shortage is 17, 609 SHO.
  • Until This year about 5000 SHO in all industry (15 000 SHO shortage)
  • Why we need SHO?
  • To comply with OSHA 1994
  • To reduce no of accident at the workplace
  • To advise the employer or person on safety matters
  • To increase organization productivity and profitability and e.t.c

Passed SPM with three (3) credits including Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematic OR Science .
